What is collected

Reading this site does not require an account, and no account exists. The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing about you on the server. Your browser requests static files and the server returns them; the request is written to an access log that is rotated and used only for diagnosing faults and counting traffic.

If you write to the contact address, your message and your email address are kept so that the correspondence can be answered and, where a correction results, so that it can be attributed.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request that it be deleted, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. This site does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising other than through the advertising described above, which you can opt out of as set out there.

Children

This site is written for general readers and is not directed at children under thirteen. No personal information is knowingly collected from them.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are described in the entry list on the front page for as long as they remain relevant.
